NEW PATTERN: Arboreal Cowl

I’ve made a new pattern, guys, and it’s available as a free PDF download. It is a one-skein super-bulky cowl. I’ve called it Arboreal Cowl, because of the tree branch lace motif that goes up the side. I hope you like it!

I know it says to do the ‘special stitch’ beginning and end of every row but the example uses row 6. So does that mean the special stitch (that is ignored in pattern) is done only on rows 6,8 & 10?

I thought I was an advanced beginner but this has me confused. Would appreciate your help.

Trying to make it for a very special girlfriend for Christmas.
    Thank you!

  2. Love this pattern. I wore mine several times to chase the chill over the weekend. Love it!

Hey – wonderful pattern. I knitted it in just a couple of hours today but I think perhaps there might be an omitted line in the pattern. There needs to be a line 10 in the pattern, same as 6 & 8 – and the repeat then is from lines 5-10, not lines 5-9. Lines 5, 7, and 9 are RS lines – there needs to be a corresponding line 10 to complete the wrong side, and then back to line 5 for the RS beginning of the next pattern repeat.

    Beautiful! Thanks!
